What is hosting?
In order for your website to be available on the Internet it needs to “hosted on a computer that is accessible 24/7 to people that are typing in your web address. This computer on which your web site resides is called a webserver or host. When you pay for hosting, you are actually paying for space on the webserver or host which has been allocated to your website.
What is a domain name?
A domain name is a website address for example www.1x2y.co.za.
Can I purchase just a domain name?
Yes. You can purchase just a domain name, which we will “park” for free for you until you are ready to use it.
How do I pay for my purchase?
We accept bank transfers. We do not accept cheques. Please note that if you purchase a domain name and choose to pay by bank transfer, then the ownership of the domain name will only be verified once funds are received. Bank transfers must reach us within 2 days of your domain purchase in order to secure.
If I buy a domain name from you, can I host it with another company?
Yes. You can host with any hosting company you choose. We do not tie you down to us when you purchase a domain name from, or, register a domain name through us; instead you are set up as the registered owner of the domain giving you the authority to do with it as you wish.
What is a website template?
A website template is the base design that defines the general layout for the rest of your website.
What format must my information be in?
You can submit your information in Microsoft Word or any other widely available text editor format. We accept images in any format but JPEG images are the Internet standard and thus preferable.
Are there any restrictions on the amount of content I can submit for my website?
You are limited only by the number of pages in your website.

How do I give you all the content that I want on my website?
We accept content via email, or on a CD ROM.
Do I get my own email address?
Yes. You also get multiple free email addresses when you sign up for a hosting account. Additional email addresses above the allotted 5 are available at a nominal yearly fee.
